Bad, Bad Blogger

I admit it, I feel a tad bit guilty for letting the blog fall off the radar for the last couple of weeks. Especially after hearing Joe Wikert's great keynote on "The Love of Blogging" on Monday afternoon. Hopefully you will understand that there was a bit going on around here with this little event up in Chi-town.

Overall, Pub U was a success. We are still collecting our post-event surveys from attendees (136 out of roughly 322 have responded thus far), but here is the breakdown on the question, "Please Rate Your Overall Experience at the 2007 ECPA Publishing University"

Very Valuable 41.0% 55
Valuable 47.0% 63
Somewhat Valuable 11.2% 15
Not Valuable 0.8% 1

Of course, my personality type is to skip over the 88% that said the event was valuable and/or very valuable and look right at those bottom two groups. Believe me, we are going to pour over these results and see how we can improve for 2008. I can tell you that I already have a handful of ideas from those I spoke to both at the event and over the phone since.

I am going to take the next few posts to go over some of the comments and feedback we have received and hopefully you can help me to digest some of it in order to make our 5th Pub U next year even better!

BTW - I really wanted to contact the individual who said they found no value in coming, however they left no name or e-mail address:-(

Will you please update the web site to announce the dates for 2008 on the main Pub U page? That information would be good to have on the site ASAP after the end of the event each year.

Thanks!
