Mark Your Calendars

Thanks to Pete Nikolai for kindly pointing out that we haven't publicized the dates for next year's Pub U. Sometimes its the obvious things that get overlooked.

November 2 -4, 2008 at the Lombard Westin at Yorktown Centre.

We are already working on next years program, in fact I will be meeting with this year's track leaders via teleconference tomorrow to discuss what things we could improve upon for next year. We have spent hours pouring over our survey results. We had nearly 650 comments from attendees that we have now aggregated, collated, analyzed and grouped into themes that will help us to better shape next year's event. These comments deal with everything from the temperature of the meeting rooms to the format of the opening session and everything in between.

Also, if you are in the Marketing and/or Sales fields, be on the lookout for some very exciting news about a new ECPA event that could take place early fall of 2008.

AND, for those of you who wanted to dig deeper into the topic of blogging, we will be offering a blogging webinar in February with expert Joe Wikert. In this one-hour session we will be drilling down to the fundamental elements of blogging.

- What makes a blog successful
- How closely should a publisher manage an author's blog? Should they at all?
- What are the best blogging tools?
- Take a tour of the blogosphere with Joe (including some of our own industry blogs)

Stay tuned for more information on this virtual event in the near future.
